Please come out and see some of the wonderful pets available for adoption.  Come out and chat with volunteers to find out more about Adopt-A-Pet, including becoming a foster home.

 1\18\2012 - Thank you Froggy 99.9 and Natural Pet Center for their fundraiser to help local rescues! Donors contributed $2556 for the event, which will be split between Adopt-A-Pet, the F-M Humane Society, and 4 Luv of Dog.  None of these organizations could exist with the wonderful support the community gives us.  Thank you!

1\18\2012 - Did you know that in 2011:
*1073 dogs were admitted to the local pounds
*407 of those dogs were NOT claimed and left to die
*912 cats were admitted to the local pounds
*774 of those cats were NOT claimed and left to die.

Local rescue groups were able to save many pets this year.  383 of the unclaimed dogs and 331 of the unclaimed cats at local pounds were saved by local rescue organizations in 2011.
There is more work to do and lives to save in 2012.  Thank you for your continued support and adopting homeless animals. 
Please Spay/Neuter your pets. 
Please don't let your pets roam. 
Please Adopt, don't shop.

1\18\2012 - We are now registered with http://adoptashelter.com/ where we can receive donations based on your online purchases to many top name online stores. If you are shopping online, stop there and select us by choosing Minnesota for the state and clicking search.  After selecting us, click the Shop Now button to see if the online store you are going to shop at is listed.  If you start your shopping through adoptashelter.com, for any purchases you make we receive a donation from a percentage of your purchase.  How easy is that!  Many major stores are listed, such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.
