| Lucas is a 4 yr old Black Labrador Retriever (neutered and pure bred), who is super affectionate and loves to play with other dogs. He is very good around dogs and people smaller than him, but needs to be reminded occasionally of his size and the fact that he's not a lap dog. Lucas has a lot of energy and does not mind the cold at all. He'd like to run and play all day if he could. He is very good staying home alone as well--6-8 hours at a time. He's not been kenneled in a while at home, but he is used to sleeping in a kennel when boarded; the folks at Doggie Depot, for example, say that he's been very good. Lucas loves going on long walks; he might need some corrective training as he does pull a bit--gentle leader and/or harness help though. Lucas is allergic to chicken, but does very well on lamb and rice and all other foods free of poultry products. Ideally, Lucas would love to be in a family where he gets lots of attention. While he has not been trained as a hunting dogs, he seems to have great potential; he learns fast and likes to please the people he loves and who love him. |
