| Baby is a female Rat Terrier, approximately 3 years old. She loves to cuddle. She whines sometimes when people don't give her
enough love and attention. She's a wonderful companion and is friendly with new people. She is not so good with new dogs but I hope she will find an owner who can help her with that. She will never go
potty in the house and is very good at letting people know when she needs to go out. Since she will be starting off in a new home, a 3 times a day schedule would be good so she understands when she will be able to go outside. As far as tricks she doesn't really know too many standard ones but she knows a few of my own: sit, stay, get down, out of the kitchen, get out of there(if
she's into something she shouldn't be), no, go lay down, scoot over, go lay in your bed, kennel, treat, water, thirsty, breakfast (usually fed once in the morning),
potty outside, come inside, and come cuddle. She's good with bath time, nail trims, and teeth brushing. I usually tell her the tooth brush is a treat and she does just fine. she needs to be distracted with nail trims but she sits well for them. The main concern with her is integrating her with new dogs and her barking habits. She likes to go for walks but she gets really excited and pulls on the leash so she has a harness for that. she loves carrots and apples as treats as well as regular dog treats. She can usually be trusted alone as long as there is no food boxes or plates anywhere she can reach(beware of coffee tables with those things), she doesn't chew on anything that doesn't belong to her and will go
through raw hides quickly even though she doesn't need them too often. Overall she's a very sweet dog who loves to be loved and will give a lot of love back. She's eager to please her master but needs clear instructions on what she needs to do. |
