In Need of a Foster Home

Tigger at Petco

Tigger, an orange tabby with some white, went straight from the pound to a temporary foster home. His foster home is not able to care for him for much longer, so Tigger is looking for either a new foster home or a loving forever home! He is about 3 years old and is front declawed. He is a very fun cat with a lot of personality! He is mischievous, playful and talkative! He loves to walk around Petco on his leash and harness so he can find all the people in the store and beg for attention. Tigger seems to LOVE children, but any person will really do when he is craving some TLC.

We think Tigger would be very  happy in a house with a big family where he would have lots of activity and children to entertain him. He may do ok with dogs, but he does not like cats so being an only cat is a must! Please contact us if you are interested in giving this handsome, freckle-nosed boy a home!

Happy Holidays from Adopt-a-Pet!

Phantom Dressed for the HolidaysThis is Phantom, he is one of our long term fosters which means he will forever reside in my home. Phantom is blind and does not handle transitions to different situations very well. He is one of the many fosters that benefit from donations to Adopt-a-Pet, not only do donations help our current adoptable cats, but they also help all the animals we provide sanctuary for who are not adoptable. These animals will be in their foster homes for the duration of their life.

Phantom has been very busy this holiday season helping to prepare for the festivities, as you can see from this photograph!  Despite his handicap, he is about the only one who will allow me to dress him up! Now if I could just get him to do all my shopping for me….

Adopt-a-Pet wishes you all a safe and happy holiday season, and don’t forget to put a little gift under the tree for your favorite furry loved one!

Welcome!

Welcome everyone to the Adopt-A-Pet cat foster blog! Learn about the happenings in a cat foster home and follow some of our adoptable cats and kittens from their initial rescue up until their final adoption. My goal for this blog is to share my experiences in the world of cat fostering with all of you. I hope to raise awareness about cat rescue and to also have a lot of fun sharing my stories about these wonderful animals. It seems they can always supply me with a story to tell, whether it’s about their funny personality quirks, my sadness over those I tried to save and could not, or even of the miracle of life when I am able to foster kittens starting from birth. I firmly believe that if more people were given insight into what all we do to rescue these cats and kittens, more people would choose to adopt, choose to spay and neuter, and choose to get more involved with local animal rescues and shelters. I encourage all readers to comment and ask questions, that is what I am here for! I look forward to sharing with all of you!
