Bashful is a neutered male kitten who was approximately 6 months old on Sept. 20. He is a solid black short-haired kitten. Bashful and his 3 siblings were orphaned at 3 weeks of age when their mom was hit by a car on Easter Sunday. They were hand reared and bottle fed from until they were seven weeks old.
Bashful is a cat who hasn't met a person that he doesn't like. He is long and lean, and has a very long tail. His coat has developed a brown tinge to it which makes him more chocolate colored. He is well-socialized to people, and is the most mellow of the 4 orphan kittens. Bashful has been introduced to dogs and doesn't appear afraid of them. He is the lap cat when his foster mom is on the computer. He has surprised his foster mom by leaping onto her back or shoulders when he wants attention.
Bashful likes to play with cat nip toys, toys with bells in them, cat wands and strings, and the laser pointer. He can get possessive over his toys and will growl when he doesn't want to share his toys with his siblings. He has run off with pony tail holders, bobby pins, bracelets and other jewelry, so need to keep items such as these put away. He is very bonded to his siblings and gets along with other cats.
